Tony King, LMHC, CAP

Interim Executive Director

Tony King, LMHC, CAPTony King is the current Interim Executive Director at Gratitude House. Tony is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the State of Florida. He is also a Certified Addictions Professional (CAP) in the State of Florida. Tony is a Qualified Supervisor for Licensed and Registered Mental Health Counselors, as well as for the Certified Addiction Professionals. Tony has been conducting Staff Development Seminars for 20 years. Tony for many years is a source to the substance abuse facilities through-out the tri-county area for his expertise in training. Tony has also served as a Senior Administrator for the Drug Abuse Foundation of West Palm Beach for the last 23 years. He supervised and trained the clinical staff and as well as the residential technical staff.
Tony’s service journey began at The School Board of Palm Beach County, where he served as a consultant. Tony has also provided instructions to the Annual Summer Institute on the signs and symptoms of chemical use and dependency, Co-dependency and ACOA. Tony has served as adjunct professor and provided instructions for courses in pharmacology and intervention strategies in dealing with substance abuse at the Florida Atlantic University. Tony has also served on the Chemical Dependency Training Program Advisory Board at the Palm Beach Community College and a consultant to the Governor for the Governor’s Drug Control Task Force. Tony assisted with developing strategies to address substance abuse concerns in the State of Florida. He has also served as an oral evaluator for the Florida Certification Board. Tony has traveled with the Florida International Volunteer Corps, by serving as a member, developing and providing substance abuse prevention and education to Salvation Army Officers in Jamaica and Barbados.

Tony brings a wealth of experience from his many years in the addiction field.

Donna L. Donato, LCSW, CAP, CFLE, SAP


Donna DonatoDonna L. Donato, LCSW, CAP, CFLE, SAP has more than 25 years of experience providing therapeutic services in a myriad of settings. Ms. Donato is a licensed clinical social worker, certified addiction professional and, experienced as an infant mental health specialist. She is currently a consultant and trainer for Children’s Service Council of Palm Beach in Touchpoints, Infant Mental Health, Incredible Years, and Reflective Practice and Supervision. Ms. Donato is a certified family mediator and has been appointed in the 15th Judicial Circuit as a Parent Coordinator, dealing with high conflict divorce cases. Ms. Donato has had extensive clinical training in trauma, crisis management, bereavement, chemical dependency and has completed Level I and II of EMDR training and is certified to do clinical hypnosis.

Ms. Donato has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL with areas of concentration in Psychology and Behavioral Modification and a Master’s degree from Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL with areas of concentration in substance abuse, women’s issues, crisis intervention, and cultural diversity. She has completed her infant mental health training with FSU/LSU Harris Institute Advanced Infant Mental Health Level III.

Lucinda Valantiejus, CPA


Donna Donato

Lucinda Valantiejus’s career spans both non-profit and for profit companies. Her industry experience includes service, property management, construction and consulting. Lucinda’s career also includes public accounting where she performed audits of non-profits, construction and manufacturing companies. In non-profit role she served as Director of Finance for a human services agency that assisted moderate income families obtain home ownership.

Lucinda earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Central Connecticut State University. She also obtained her CPA license in CT. She moved to Florida in October 2015 to be closer to her parents and enjoy the warmer climate. In her spare time, Lucinda enjoys social activities with her family and friends, reading and gardening.
